WebOn paranasal sinus CT, a 4.2×3.8 cm hypodense homogenous cystic mass in the left maxillary sinus was observed, with a well-defined margin and bone thinning of the left maxillary sinus wall . Based on the patient’s history and imaging tests, we diagnosed the mass as a left postoperative cheek cyst and planned surgical treatment. WebClinical discussion: Because the expanding POMC might result in dental implant failure after several years, we think that marsupialization is useful as a risk management for possible failure of dental implant close to POMC when it had not been found before maxillary sinus floor elevation and insertion of dental implant.
