The cost of bad advice is astronomical. When it’s not risky, there’s no benefit; and when there’s a lot of benefit, by definition there’s also a lot of risk. Does the table have such a high rate of modifications that the index may be a performance problem? If either of these are a big concern, I’d consider dropping the index on the foreign keys.
